Abstract: Starting from Fortini’s considerations on Pasolini’s work and especially from the hermeneutical category of synecdoche, this article examines Pasolini’s specific understanding of the dialectical method used to comprehend reality as well as investigates whether, beyond Fortini’s criticism, that it can be understood as part of a broader debate connected to the international Marxism.
