Federico Canaccini, La condanna degli Uberti

Abstract: This article follows the fate of the Florentine Uberti family, from its apogee to its collapse, due to political defeat in the conflict between Guelphs and Ghibellines. The family, leader of the Ghibelline faction, became its symbol and suffered the fate of the vanquished: the most severe punishments were applied, from banishment to the accusation of heresy, up to annihilation.
